WEST WILDWOOD RESPONDS TO CREST VEHICLE FIRE ON THE BEACH
WWFD was dispatch for mutual aid for a vehicle fire on the beach at Aster Rd. in the Borough of Wildwood Crest.  Wildwood Crest FD was on location of a vehicle fire at the water's sdge, which made fire suppression efforts difficult. WWFD responded with Brush 21 (mini-attack pumper) to assist in suppression efforts.  Wildwood Crest fire command directed crews to continue suppression due to adverse conditions for fire attack. Once the fire was knocked down, crew began overhaul operations.  The task of overhaul was difficult with regards to the vehicle's under carriage submerged into the sand.  Attempts to raise and get under the van were unsuccessful.  Crews continued to douse the van with the water.  The fire fully extinguished, crews picked up equipment and placed apparatus back into service.  IC cleared WWFD units.  On scene: West Wildwood FD Wildwood Crest FD Wildwood Crest PD Wildwood FD (D-Platoon)
